• 2+ years of software engineering experience in any of the following: ML Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Distributed Systems

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the infrastructure in support of developing and deploying Machine Learning models for Autonomous Vehicles

• Architect and deploy cloud and on-prem ML training and evaluation infrastructure

• Own the the data management pipelines, from ingestion and storage, to model training and evaluation that span vehicle compute, cloud, and on-prem

• Change model training code to take advantage of the better data storage techniques and formats you propose

• Evaluate and implement methods, software, and hardware for model deployment onto the test and production vehicles

Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated deep knowledge of modern motion planning and control software including **sample base motion planning and trajectory or behavior route planning.**

• Experience designing and implementing motion planning methods in deployed software running in real-time on a robotic platform.

• Strong foundational technical skills in mathematics, physics, probability/statistics, and engineering (for example, as demonstrated by relevant educational experience, published work, or publicly available software)

• Experience developing in multiple large, complex C++ codebases.

• Ability to design software testing suites for robust motion planning.

Experience Requirements:

• 7+ years of engineering experience.

• Deep knowledge of architecting large-scale software/hardware systems at the edge.

• Demonstrated experience gathering customer requirements and generating associated system-level and derived requirements.

• Prior work creating software and hardware tests demonstrating system, subsystem, and component requirements are met.

• Performed requirements development, verification, and validation for a fielded robotic system.

• System engineering at BlueSpace involves all aspects of a project, both technically and programmatically.

• You’ll meet with customers early and often to communicate BlueSpace’s capabilities, understand customer needs, generate requirements, and update plans when needed.

• Based on what you learn, you’ll collaborate with the engineering team to develop a system architecture that meets our customers’ needs, identify R&D areas, build out the hardware and software solution, and perform verification and validation of the system before customer delivery.

• Design, develop, and maintain autonomous driving simulation platforms, including physics-based simulations and sensor simulations.

• Collaborate with software engineers, robotics engineers, and data scientists to integrate simulation tools into the development pipeline.
