Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, overseeing the development of all mechanical aspects of our products, including thermal and liquid-cooling solutions, mechanical enclosures, and complex assemblies

• Own and drive cross-functional projects, coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with company goals

• Develop and implement advanced cooling solutions, including liquid cooling, and provide expertise in thermal analysis to optimize product performance

• Ensure that designs meet DfX (Design for Excellence) criteria, particularly in the development of complex mechanical assemblies and systems

• Contribute to the advancement of electro-mechanical packaging technologies, providing technical leadership and direction

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of backend engineering experience, including advanced database operations with SQL

• 2+ years of software development experience with Python, including agile development practices (e.g. issue lifecycle management, change control, code review)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain highly reliable data processing pipelines using Python, SQL, and various technology platforms such as Airflow and the ELK stack

• Manage, analyze, and serve ever-increasing volumes of high-quality data using backend databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL and frontend tools such as Grafana, Jupyter, and Redash

• Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Cerebras hardware manufacturing by taking ownership of data from end to end

• Partner with hardware and system engineers to translate data insights into effective decision making while identifying opportunities for automation

• Continually evaluate team processes to maintain an efficient and performant data-driven engineering culture

Responsibilities:

• Quickly get up to speed on electrical, thermal, and mechanical aspects of the design

• Study failure signatures of the systems and do hands-on troubleshooting

• Pursue failure analysis down to silicon, PCB boards or external components

• Analyze and document results and provide recommendations

• Interface with internal groups (SoC, systems and mfg) as well as outside vendors

Education Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of leading edge CMOS FinFet technology and transistor behavior

• Expert at running circuit level simulations across a variety of design types

• Expert with Hspice and Finesim type simulation tools

• Good understanding of techniques for optimizing clock distribution

• Good understanding of power supply distribution, IR drop problems and how to analyze them

• Experience running aging simulations & knowledge of NBTI ,PBTI, HCI

• Good understanding of IO circuits, ESD circuits and their analysis

• Experience with analyzing power dissipation and making recommendations for optimizations

• Strong ability in scripting languages like Tcl and Python

• Demonstrated ability to work with cross functionally to resolve problems

• Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills
