Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Backend Engineering with a focus on data systems

• Proficient in at least one general purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and SQL (any variant)

• Proficiency with at least one modern cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and accompanying data services

• Experience in building systems that manage the ingest, transformation, and management of both structured and unstructured data types

• Deep knowledge of modern data infrastructure best practices

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable data services, pipelines and storage solutions for the feedback of unstructured application data for ML training and evaluation purposes

• Build and manage OLAP databases, ELTs and general data tooling for analytics , business decisions and products features

• Work closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts

• Optimize data infrastructure to enhance the throughput, latency and reliability of the data system

• Investigate and correct issues identified through data operations monitors, tools, and reports

Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years of platform/devops experience in a cloud-native software company

• Familiar with the care+feeding of Kubernetes clusters, including creating and maintaining helm charts for application deployments

• Experienced in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for both Infrastructure as code deployments as well as application code deployments

• Comfortable implementing and securing services in Google Cloud Platform as Infrastructure as code

• Experienced with backend scripting languages (e.g. Python, GoLang, Javascript, Rust, Bash.)

Responsibilities:

• Partner with application engineers to build and deploy reliable, performant, and secure infrastructure for our mobile + web-based applications

• Collaborate with engineers + customers to create secure integrations between Abridge and healthcare systems

• Enable application teams to practice “you build it, you run it” by providing tools + process for monitoring performance, availability, and reliability

• Identify opportunities to improve engineering velocity, and lead efforts to make those improvements through tooling and process

• Manage CI/CD pipelines and the other major parts of our cloud-based development infrastructure

Experience Requirements:

• 7+ years as a platform/Devops/infrastructure engineer in a cloud native environment and 3+ years managing software engineering teams

• Knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle

• People Management: Recruit, retain, and mentor platform engineers

• Project Management: Work closely with stakeholders such as product managers and customers to plan, execute, and support multiple projects simultaneously

• Technical Leadership: Help set business context for the team and apply your knowledge of business and software engineering to guide architectural discussions
