Education Requirements:

• Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in process engineering

• Strong background in materials science and prior work in the space industry

Other Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of process engineering principles and methodologies

• Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools for process optimization

• Knowledge of materials drying, sorption processes, water treatment, and electrolysis

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Support the design and optimization of lunar icy regolith processing and environmental control and life support (ECLSS) systems

• Apply materials engineering knowledge to select materials compatible with space stations and lunar conditions

• Analyze, simulate, and optimize processes for extracting volatiles

• Validate the performance of lunar regolith processing as well as ECLSS systems

• Identify, analyze and validate the processing of terrestrial materials compatible with the volatiles extraction technology development roadmap
