InstructLab, led by research scientist Kai Xu, is an open-source project dedicated to the development of advanced large language models (LLMs) with a focus on inference and alignment methods in probabilistic programming. The project is part of the broader collaborative efforts at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab, where Xu and his team leverage probabilistic techniques to address real-world challenges. InstructLab aims to explore under-explored applications of deep probabilistic models and is also associated with the TuringLang, a probabilistic programming language.
