About
ELSALON is an initiative by Windesheim University aimed at developing and implementing human-centered AI applications. It seeks to engage various stakeholders through a co-creation process involving policymakers, businesses, and citizens to ensure that AI innovations respect fundamental rights and public values. The lab focuses on three main research lines—public sector, healthcare, and education—while addressing ethical, legal, and societal impacts. It also facilitates a community of practice to promote knowledge sharing, practical applications, and ethical discussions surrounding generative AI.
