Geneva is an innovative tool using a genetic algorithm to automate the discovery of strategies that evade internet censorship. By manipulating network traffic on one end of the connection, it renders censorship ineffective without needing a proxy or external assistance. The tool evolves its strategies by running against actual censors, generating new ways to bypass censorship in various countries including China, India, Iran, and Kazakhstan. As an open-source research prototype, Geneva provides unique insights into censorship mechanisms while aiding users in achieving censorship evasion.
• open-source project
