TILOS is the Institute for Learning-enabled Optimization at Scale, funded by the National Science Foundation. It specializes in pioneering learning-enabled optimization methods that enhance chip design, robotics, networks, and other crucial sectors for public welfare. With a mission to facilitate impossible optimizations at scale, TILOS teams comprise faculty from esteemed institutions like UC San Diego, MIT, and Yale. The research focuses on critical optimization strategies such as distributed optimization, optimization under uncertainty, and deep learning. TILOS promotes learning through a variety of educational resources, seminars, and outreach activities.
