I don’t understand how artificial intelligence works.
It’s not necessary to understand the complex details of AI to use instructional tools. What’s important is understanding the capabilities and limitations of the tools and how they can support learning objectives.
I don’t believe the technology is appropriate for a K-12 setting because of its potential to be used for cheating.
While there is potential for misuse, AI can also be used to teach digital citizenship and integrity.
I don’t think the technology is applicable to my subject matter or grade.
AI technology is versatile and can be applied to a wide range of subjects and grade levels.
My district hasn’t outlined a policy on how to use the technology appropriately.
The absence of a policy can be challenging, but should not become a barrier for educators.

I have data privacy/security concerns about these tools.

Our tech infrastructure (internet access, devices, etc.) is too old/dysfunctional to support these tools.
Some AI applications are designed to work with minimal infrastructure, and incremental upgrades can be made over time to improve technology readiness.
I know something about using these tools but I’m not sure how to effectively incorporate them into instruction.
Our Crash Course and other Online PD are a great place to start learning about the incorporation of AI tools in classrooms
I haven’t explored these tools because I have other priorities that are more important.
