About
idtracker.ai is a free and open-source tool designed for tracking up to 100 unmarked animals from videos captured in laboratory conditions through the use of artificial intelligence. The software includes features for installation across various platforms (Windows, MacOS, and Linux), alongside a user guide that assists both beginner and advanced users. Supplemental tools provide functionalities for validating, generating videos, matching identities from multiple recordings, and analyzing animal trajectories. This project's research is contributed by the Polavieja Lab, focusing on the Mathematics of Behavior and Intelligence. For further customization, the source code is openly accessible for contributions, and it's supported by frequent updates and user community engagement through Google Groups.
