Autonomous Racing Graz (ARG) is a research team composed of members from the Graz University of Technology – Institute of Automation and Control and Virtual Vehicle Research. This team possesses expertise in automotive sensors, software, and control, driven by the goal of realizing autonomous racing. Their primary objective is to advance autonomous driving technology by testing it in extreme conditions, including high speeds, high shear forces, and various weather scenarios. Through their participation in competitions like the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) SIM Race and Roborace, ARG aims to develop AI drivers and vehicles with driving skills equal to or superior to human drivers. The team also emphasizes combining serious research with enjoyable practical applications, ultimately working to increase public trust and acceptance of autonomous driving technology.
