Earkind is a platform that produces AI-generated podcasts designed to be entertaining and informative. The first show, 'GPT Reviews', features a daily mix of commentary on AI news, jokes, and research papers. The show is hosted by Giovani Pete Tizzano, alongside collaborators Robert, Olivia, and Belinda, each bringing unique characteristics to the discussion. The production process combines language models with neural expressive text-to-speech and programmatic audio editing. It starts with a .txt file of selected news and recent research paper URLs, from which relevant content is extracted and processed using the chatGPT API. Custom prompts for various sections of the podcast ensure an engaging conversation format. The recording phase utilizes Azure's TTS for high-quality audio. Finally, the episodes undergo extensive editing with jingles and sound effects, culminating in automatic generation of podcast descriptions and titles using chatGPT. The creator is open to feedback and plans to share the code and a detailed design explanation publicly if there's interest.
