Reflection.app, a journaling app, has integrated Google Gemini's AI capabilities. This enhancement provides features such as journal-wide semantic search, personalized prompts for deeper reflection, thought summarization, pattern identification, and a two-way conversational AI companion (coming soon). User data is encrypted and not used to train AI models. The AI features are free to try with a premium plan offering unlimited access.

Can I start using this today?!
Yes! These features are live on our iOS, Android, MacOS, and our Web app! If you are a new user start by experiencing depth on the entry level, by clicking the twinkle stars from the editor bar. Once you have a few entries, experience the power of journal-wide search and insights by clicking the search button and typing your question! All of the AI features are free to try, and you can unlock unlimited use with a Premium plan. Are my entries private and secure?
Yes and yes! As alway with Reflection.app, your entries are visible only to you and stored securely with encryption. As long time journal-writers ourselves, we know how important it is that personal entries are private and secure. For users who enable our new AI-features, Reflection.app will analyze selected entry data using our partner's Large Language Model (LLM). Your data is not stored by or used to train AI models.
I’m an existing user, do I need to enable this feature?
For existing users, our AI integration is opt-in only. Once available, you can adjust your preferences at any time from the settings page.
What is “Depth”?
Depth is the name of our AI companion. Our early users will remember the first iteration of Depth (Alpha) we released back in Q1 2023. This integration directly into the app experience across platforms is the evolution of Depth.
