About
DECIMER is a web application that uses deep learning to identify, segment, and recognize chemical structures from PDF documents and images. It employs DECIMER Segmentation for PDF processing, and its powerful OCSR engine processes the chemical structure depictions to generate SMILES representations. Users can edit structures using the integrated Ketcher editor and download segmented images and mol files. IUPAC names can also be generated via STOUT V2. The tool is developed and maintained by the Steinbeck group at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and is open-source. User data is only retained for a limited time, and user privacy is addressed in a detailed privacy policy. The tool requires appropriate rights from publishers before utilizing uploaded documents and images.
