Do you apply an additional cost on top of the model costs?
No! We apply the same prices as if you were using these models directly.
So how do you make money?
It's very simple! We pool the consumption of our thousands of customers, and negotiate our own margins with AI model vendors. This is a win-win situation: our users benefit from our services at no extra cost, and the suppliers distribute their technology more widely. We also earn money with our Enterprise contracts, but these only concern a specific part of our customer base.
Do I get a discount if I reach a high number of API calls?
If you want to benefit from discounts on the intensive use of models from certain vendors, you'll need to create an account with them and enter your API key ("Bring your own account") on Eden AI. In this case, you'll be billed directly by the vendor for the use of their models, and may benefit from reduced prices.
Can I get test credits to get started?
Of course you can! We offer a $1 test credit to all new subscribers, which is more than enough to make your first API calls. Then we'll give you an extra $10 if you give us your credit card details. This allows us to make sure you're not a bot.
How do I pay?
Payment is by credit card (we use Stripe, a secure online payment solution). You can pay from (almost) anywhere in the world. For payments over $2,000, we offer the option of paying by bank transfer. Contact us on the in-app chat for this.
Do I have to pay every time to have credit to use?
No! We strongly recommend that you activate the auto-refill option, which allows your account to be refilled if your balance falls below a threshold you define. At the same time, you can set a maximum monthly auto-refill limit. This ensures that you never run out of credit and that the service never stops working for you.
