Education Requirements:

• BS, Masters or PH.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Experience Requirements:

• 6+ years experience in HW design from architecture to implementation

• Released several complex, multi-layer PCB designs into high volume production

• Experience utilizing commercial SI/PI software tools

Other Requirements:

• Deep understanding of HW components, their interfaces and SW controls

• Good understanding of high speed designs (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCIE etc)

• Technical leadership in data acquisition subsystems

• Ability to technically lead a small team of HW engineers is a plus

• Experience in LiDAR design or automotive product development is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Break down product requirements into an architecture and EE PCB designs

• Review designs in terms of function and layout placement

• Optimize architecture to reduce HW and SW complexity

• Direct ownership of PCBs and sub-systems of a LiDAR

• Work closely with Electrical Engineers and cross-functional teams

Education Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields

Experience Requirements:

• Strong embedded coding skill and understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)

• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, VHDL/Verilog, or similar

• Familiarity with developing algorithms on MCUs with tight compute, memory, and power constraints

• Fluent in English

• Relevant experience obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience

Other Requirements:

• Proficiency in model deployment tools such as TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers, ONNX Runtime

• Experience in optimizing and quantizing ML models for real-time inference on edge devices

• Strong background in computer vision and embedded systems

• Experience working with hardware and hardware design engineers

• Solid troubleshooting and communication skills

• Self-learner and independent problem solver who thinks creatively

• Hard-worker and result oriented individual who challenges the status-quo

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and interfacing with customers
